A route following the river, going past old water mills, Phantassie Doocot and the pretty village of Tyninghame. It is mainly on tracks and quiet B-roads, suitable for walking or mountain bikes.

From The Square go down Mill Wynd, past St Andrew's Church and round to the old bridge, it's worth going down for a look at the Linn as you go past
Cross the bridge and follow the road out of East Linton till you reach the rough track past Phantassie Steading
Follow the track round Phantassie, turning right when you reach the Phantassie Doocot
Follow the track to the bridge and ford, cross over and follow the path right along the river till you reach the Knowes road
Turn right, cross over the footbridge, turn left and follow the track to the Tyninghame Bridge
Turn left on to the main road and walk up to the Tyninghame turn off (have a look at the old mill with its wheel as you go past
Turn left on to the B1407, the tea room in Tyninghame is well worth stopping at on the way (as is Preston Mill & Preston Kirk as you enter East Linton)
Turn right down East Linton High Street back to The Square
