A1 Thistly Cross Roundabout

Wednesday 19th & Thursday 20th February

19:30 - 06:00

Road closure on Thistly Cross Roundabout with signed diversions in place.

Road users will be diverted between Broxburn Junction and Abbotsview Junction via the A1087 through Dunbar and the A199.

This diversion will add 9 minutes and 1.1 miles to affected journeys.

Local traffic south of the roundabout from the B6370 will be diverted to the A199 at Phantassie to then follow the main diversion.

Unfortunately, due to the high volume of traffic through these sections of the A1 we have no option but to close the road to ensure the safety of the workforce and members of the travelling public. During construction hours a clearly signed diversion route will be in place, please refer to the attached diversion drawing for further details.

Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times. Local access will be maintained up to the point of the works extents and local access for residents within the closure will also be maintained throughout the duration of the works.
