 Like-minded individuals with a passion for sport and adventure – we are Foxlake We have developed the first wakeboarding cable tow in Scotland and we are on a mission to “Wake up” the Nation to this amazing sport. Set up as a ‘Community Interest Company’ to create a new outdoor adventure hub in our own community. Why become a social enterprise? All of us involved in Foxlake live and work in our community and care about sport , our environment and the future of our young people within it. We all run businesses and love sport so why not bring it together to create something new exciting. We can share with our community who will work with us to keep it here forever and develop our 100 acre site in such a way that it is sustainable in every aspect – provides training, employment learning, physical activity for all in an affordable way. We hope to bring 100 acres of East Lothian countryside to be a very special place for local and tourist to enjoy and have fun with adventure sport. We have been fully supported in our approach by our community from East Lothian Council, local community groups in Dunbar and of course Waterski Scotland. As our governing body they wish to see this first stage lake become a further 2 lakes in the coming years and potentially become the focus for wakeboarding and finding our GB Olympic champion right here on our doorstep. From beginner to achieving excellence we are here to offer this new sport of wakeboarding to all though casual wakeboarding and our Foxlake Wake Clubs for adults and our Fox Cubs Club for children we are here to provide sports for all. What is Cable Wakeboarding? Cable wakeboarding is the world’s latest and fastest growing watersport. Using an overhead cable which pulls you over the surface of the lake with a feel just like skateboarding or snowboarding but on water. Specially designed obstacles allow riders to perform tricks as they wakeboard. No powerboats, no noise, just you, and infinite possibilities.
